Hello, I am Rohini Kummitha, the dreamer behind this brand. My personal journey has been an interesting one, to say the least. From a mechanical engineer to a software professional, my path took a dramatic turn when I discovered my love for Arts. I left the safety of my high paying software job to pursue MFA in Integrated Visual Arts at Iowa State University. Delving into advanced photography, mixed media arts, and digital textile design, unlocked a whole new world of creativity for me.

However, my love for textiles, Indian arts, and crafts was planted long before my academic pursuits. My mother owned a Saree boutique which afforded me the unique privilege of growing up amidst exquisite handlooms and diverse clothing styles. I was fortunate to witness the intricate art of weaving, the painstaking process of embroidery, and the skilled craftsmanship of tailors. The fashion industry became a natural and meaningful sphere for me, where I could bring together my diverse passions and create something truly special.

In 2018, Million Raagas came to life in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas. Since then, we've been dedicated to creating South Asian-inspired clothing and accessories that reflect the elegance of Indian textiles and handicrafts. Along the way, I've had the pleasure of connecting with hundreds of customers, experimenting with various products, and keeping the wheels turning between Hyderabad, India and Austin, USA.
